Adventure Elopement at Loveland Pass in the Colorado Rockies
This gorgeous styled adventure elopement changed everything for me!
At the sake of sounding cheesy, it ignited a fire in me, one which I have now embraced fully and count not be happier that I found.
My friend Rachel of Rachel Beckwith Photography and I were having a hard time finding what made us "tick" as far as weddings went. So, we decided to start trying new things and experimenting with ideas. Rachel and I are avid hikers and we love being outdoors, so we decided to marry our love for the outdoors with our love for weddings. This mountain top elopement was the key! We originally wanted to photograph at Rocky Mountain National Park but the weather had other plans, we were able to move our shoot to Loveland Pass.
Rachel reached out to her friends Sam and Kelly to model for us (and boy did they ever!) From there I contacted two of my favorite vendors of all time to help with florals and the wedding dress. Jessica Houtman is the brains and talent behind Hyacinth Bridal, she creates the most beautiful, elegant, durable and perfect wedding gowns, all of which are needed when you choose to do a mountain/hiking ceremony. Maddy and Molly are the sister-duo who make Madeline Claire Florals Design one of Colorados most premiere and GORGEOUS floral vendors.
This day was truly something out of a photographer's dream.
The sky was filled with stormy clouds, the weather was chilly but not bitter cold.
Once we got back to Silverthorne the sun even made an appearance.
I will forever remember this session as THE session which changed it all for me.
Give me all the mountain top weddings and elopements PLEASE!
