It is hard to beat the views of Zion National Park, even harder to beat getting married with this landscape in the background. The epic rock formations of one of America's treasured landscapes is truly awe inspiring.
This elopement was held at Under Canvas: Zion, a "glamping" location nestled right outside of National Park lands. Where you can see the enormous formations and fall in love with what Western Utah has to offer.
Let me give you a little backstory on this specific shoot:
Sage & Spruce is the brain child of Heather Woolery and I. There are a million and one workshops that are available for photographers and other creatives. Heather and I wanted something different, we wanted to build a last community, we wanted to support other creative women who had the same dreams and believed in lifting each other up. Eventually, we want Sage & Spruce to be so much more than just a workshop.
Heather and I met via Instagram (yes one of those Pod like things) and I am so grateful we did. She has become my business partner, work wife and honestly one of my best friends.
After months of planning, Heather and I knew we needed to create some rad content for our workshop (and heck we needed to meet in real life for the first time)! We chose a location that we would both have to drive to and for it to be equal distance from each other. Utah was an obvious choice, and why wouldn't we choose Zion National Park for the venue? We reached out to Under Canvas' Zion location which was recently opened and plans for early August fell into place. It is so incredible to see that other creatives and workshops have since chosen this amazing location to host and photograph at.
We had the sweetest (now engaged) couple model for us, we included AMAZING vendors and the rest is history.
We wanted to portray what it would really be like to elope at Under Canvas in Zion in August. Let me tell you...its hot, sticky and GORGEOUS.
We were able to use the main tent to capture the table setting and jewelry.
We then used the Safari tent that my husband and I were utilizing for part of the shoot.
